This is an image that we received via the ssb radio in the middle of the pacific. You basically tune in to a fax sound coming from either Hawaii or Southern California (depending on the frequency) on the radio, the put the headphones onto the ipad speaker and your weather report is “drawn’ on the screen, like a fax, line by line. The image quality depends on the weather your in at the time and if there are any other signals onboard interfering like engines etc. In hindsight these were pretty cool and did help us alot, plus i like the idea of images flying through space to help us out….
As a “welcome back from the Islands present” my awesome brother gave me “The Earth from Space” book by The Good Planet Foundation. It’s full of amazing photos and a foreword by Yann Arthus Bertrand!
Watch Ben Rivers excellent “Slow Action” on The Third Eye. Internet Jackpot!
Crossing the pacific was quite a tough time for us. But there were moments like this too.
